Intro to USPSA Competitive Shooting Lessons, Lansing Area
Curious about USPSA but not sure you're ready for a match? A private lesson with an A-class competitor covers what your first match actually asks of you, before you're on the clock in front of a squad.
What a first match asks of you
USPSA stages mix movement, target transitions and reloads under a timer, all inside strict safety rules. Most new shooters aren't slow because of their shooting; they're slow because of everything between the shots.
The lesson works on exactly that: drawing and moving safely, reloads that don't cost seconds, and how to read a stage and plan it before the buzzer.
Coached by someone who competes
Marlo shoots USPSA matches most weekends at an A-class level. His own philosophy is on his feed: a match shows you your deficiencies and gives you a baseline on what needs practice. The lesson gives you that baseline in a quiet setting first.

Intro to competitive shooting: questions
Do I need competition gear for the lesson?
No. Bring the pistol and holster you have. Part of the lesson is sorting out what you'd actually need for a match before you spend money on gear.
Am I ready for a lesson if I've never shot a match?
That is exactly who it's for. If you're newer to pistols in general, the Basics of Shooting lesson is the better first step.
How do I pay for a private lesson?
After you book, you get an order number and Venmo payment instructions. Send the payment to @Marlo-Christian with the order number in the note so it matches your booking.
Do I need my own pistol and ammunition?
Bring them if you have them. If you don't, get in touch before class and Marlo will sort you out. Plenty of people take the class before they own anything.
