Back 2 Basics is exactly what it sounds like
Marlo Christian drives fire engines for the Lansing Fire Department, works medical calls as an EMT, and spends his weekends shooting USPSA matches at an A-class level. The name he picked for his company is the whole philosophy: get the fundamentals right — grip, stance, trigger, judgment — and everything else follows.
What started as a hobby turned into a business, with his wife and the crew at Not Just Guns in Lansing backing him from day one. Now the same guy who competes on Sunday teaches the class on Saturday — new shooters welcome, nerves and all.

Common questions
How long is the CPL class and what does it cost?
One day, 9 AM to 5 PM, $120 per seat. That covers the classroom portion (Michigan pistol law, use of force, safe storage), your coached live-fire qualification, your certificate, and a walkthrough of the county application.
Do I need my own pistol and ammunition?
Bring them if you have them. If you don't, get in touch before class and Marlo will sort you out. Plenty of people take the class before they own anything.
How do I pay for a class seat?
Reserve your seat online, then pay at the door on class day: $120 per seat, cash or card.
What private lessons do you offer?
One-on-one lessons, booked online at a time that suits you: Basics of Shooting (60 minutes, $75.00); Intro to Competitive Shooting (90 minutes, $100.00).
